The “DIGITAL RUSH” platform will enable our clients to deliver mobile video across a wide range of mobile devices. Through “Digital Rush”, organizations can also easily distribute videos on the most commonly used SmartPhone devices, like the Blackberry and the iPhone. This platform also has the added benefit of recognizing the type of device accessing the content and serving it up in the optimal format to ensure a positive experience for the viewer.

In conjunction with this new offering, BlueRush also entered into a strategic partnership with BoomBoat Inc. to provide a quick-to-market mobile site and application service by incorporating its ShrinkRay technology into the DIGITAL RUSH Platform. Northumberland County is seeking tourism operators and business owners to participate in a pilot project that uses a mobile-web marketing and sales system aimed at online and mobile users i.e. iPhone, Blackberry and other handheld devices users, to increase sales.

In today’s economy, most new and many current customers will do their research and make their buying decisions online.  Already, a large number of those customers will use their smartphone instead of a personal computer.  This mobile market will soon be the primary marketplace for many products and services.  By being one of the first regions to comprehensively market our businesses’ products and services to mobile users we can win new customers and retain our existing ones.

The system is intended to capture more revenue and build repeat business by attracting more customers on the Internet and on mobile phones and making online sales.  It provides marketing tools to create awareness, offer purchase incentives, encourage customer loyalty and drive referrals.

Each business will be provided with a mobile website linked to a number of key hyper-local search and discovery websites and social networks.  It can link mobile and existing PC websites and allows the addition of services such as appointment and booking applications, and a web-based terminal to redeem coupons for customer discounts or loyalty points.

This rate of participation would make the pilot fiscally viable and once achieved would launch the service. The launch date would be dependent upon rate of pre-registration.

With the launch of the service the cost to participate in this pilot is $9.95/month for a period of one year.  The service is designed to produce a positive return on investment during and after the pilot, with all fees tied to measurable sales results.

Simple, easy to use processes coordinate these services with the individual property owner with various options available to suit the needs of any operator, from small to large. Some services are available to property owners at no charge.  Others are chargeable and are provided as optional value-added services to the property owner.

While these services are available on a wide variety of mobile devices, enhanced capabilities will be available to Research In Motion Blackberry users via the Blackberry Single Container Application, which will add location-based services including ‘3-click to book’ nearest property searches with GPS-assisted route maps; viral marketing; and traffic multiplying capabilities.  The Single Container Blackberry application will automatically select the most appropriate Meridian travel website based on user preference and geographic location.  The Single Container Blackberry application will interact with many different directory services, and other websites and will effectively multiply the potential audience for Meridian’s offering in any one location by the number application users who have the application for other reasons and are passing through a relevant area where Meridian has offerings.

BoomBoat and Meridian will launch the Blackberry application on the Blackberry Application world.  This will allow Meridian and BoomBoat to cost-effectively promote the mobile offering to over 40 million North American Blackberry users.

These services are based on BoomBoat’s ShrinkRay mobilisation platform and its associated VoiceAssist Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology, allowing mobile users to quickly, easily and safely make travel bookings and conduct other travel transactions from their mobile phone.
